Located on the outskirts of Calpe, Villa Cometa is a spacious 6 bedroom house with wonderful scenic views of the surrounding villages and hillside. You can walk 10 minutes to the restaurants at both the Imperial Spa Resort and Hotel Gran, or venture a short drive into Calpe which has a good choice of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as beaches. Or, if you prefer to eat in, the villa also has an impressive BBQ area by the poolside. Air conditioning/heating in the bedrooms, WiFi and pool heating are included.

Swimming pool and BBQ area
The private pool and surrounding sun terrace face the hillside, with pleasant scenic views as you sunbathe or swim. If you prefer the comfort of the shade, both the terrace at the side of the house and BBQ area are covered. The grounds are dotted with colourful flora and exotic palms, and extend down 3 steps on the far side of the pool to a small gravel garden.
At the front of Villa Cometa, double gates open onto a private parking area for 3 cars, with 7 steps to the main entrance, as well as 9 steps down to the pool terrace, on either side of the building. There's also an attractive circular stone table and benches at the front, perfect for relaxing in the sun.
The spacious lounge is on the ground floor, and has a comfortable seating area around a flat screen TV and ornamental brick fireplace. The lounge is semi-circular at one end, with windows overlooking the vast Spanish countryside. There's access to the covered side terrace where steps take you down to the pool, too. The well-equipped and spacious kitchen and dining room is downstairs, on the pool level. Patio doors at one side open onto the covered terrace with 1 step down to the pool area.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
On the ground floor is a double bedroom and twin bedroom which share a separate shower room, as well as a second double bedroom with en suite bathroom. On the pool level is a double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms, plus a shower room. All 6 bedrooms are comfortable and well-furnished, with ample storage space.

Villa Cometa is well-located only 10 minutes' drive from Calpe - close enough to enjoy its shops, cafes and restaurants, but still far enough away from the hustle and bustle. There is also a good choice of sandy beaches in the local area, some with great beach bars opening in the summer months. The resort is particularly well-known for its fresh seafood restaurants, too. Both Moraira and Javea are also within a short drive if you fancy a change of scenery.
Local markets and shopping
A lively market travels around the local areas, stopping in Calpe on a Saturday morning. You'll also find the popular Rastro bric-a-brac and artisan market in Calpe on a Wednesday. There's a supermarket within a short drive too, for holiday essentials, souvenirs and beachwear.
Bars and restaurants
Calpe has a good choice of restaurants, bars and cafes, where fresh, locally caught seafood is particularly popular, but you'll also find international dishes, too. During the summer, most of the beaches in the area have beach bars, perfect for spending a day by the seaside.
There are several good beaches nearby, the closest being Cala Fustera, as well as a large sandy bay in Calpe itself, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops along its promenade. There are also a handful of stony coves along this stretch of coast which are definitely worth exploring, some of these even have beach bars too.
Calpe and the surrounding areas have a great choice of activities and attractions for an enjoyable family day out. Nearby you'll find everything from go-karting and water sports to horse riding and jet ski tours. Or, venture into Benidorm for theme parks and water parks.
Places of interest
The Penon de Ifach Rock, which overlooks the beach in Calpe, is popular with walkers at all times of year, although it may be better to visit in the spring or autumn months, when the weather is cooler. You can also venture into Javea, park up and enjoy a leisurely stroll along any of the marked walking routes around the Montgo Mountain. Don't forget your camera as the scenery is stunning!
There's a good golf course - Club de Golf Ifach - within 20 minutes' drive, towards Moraira. The club has 9 holes, with wonderful views of the Penon de Ifach Rock in the distance, as well as a swimming pool, tennis courts and a club house restaurant.

The Costa Blanca has been discovered by more and more divers in recent years attracted by the unspoiled underwater locations which has led to several commercial diving centres opening. The underwater life offers a wide variety of different species like moray eels, barracuda, rays, conger and scorpion fish, dolphins and sunfish can also be seen here at various times of the year. You can find underwater caves and caverns and explore recent but surprising wrecks. Multi-lingual diving courses are offered at Les Basetes, just to the north of Calpe.
Cabo de la Nao located near Javea is a cape at the eastern tip of the Costa Blanca giving spectacular views along the coastline. From the peninsular it is the nearest point to Ibiza. At the bottom of the cape you can visit the Caves of Orguens. The road to the cape winds through lovely pine forests, typical of Mediterranean regions. Visit the top of the mountain whilst on your villa holiday, where you will find an excellent restaurant with low prices and you can enjoy the view while having a delicious Spanish dish. This stretch of coast varies from the bright lights and sophisticated bars and restaurants of the Arenal area to the peaceful coves of Granadella and the harbour side fish restaurants of Javea’s old port. If you enjoy diving and wish to do this as part of your villa holiday, several new dive centres have opened on the Costa Blanca in Spain and diving opportunities can be had at Cabo de la Nao from the beginner to the most experienced.

You're going to be spoilt for choice at Mundomar in Benidorm and the kids will love it.
